The Wiersma Lab is primarly interested in finding solutions to problems in the field of radiation therapy. The main areas of investigation are: the use of robotics for patient positioning, hybrid MV+kV inverse optimization algorithms for IGRT planning, and real-time organ motion tracking using combined MV+kV imaging.
